The events of ASNT 2021 are winding down, but we’re already getting excited about ASNT 2022! Next year’s Annual Conference will take place at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee from 31 October to 3 November 2022. This event will be another great opportunity to network with colleagues and learn about the latest innovations and advancements in NDT, as well as a chance to experience the vibrant culture of Music City. The Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center is a sprawling venue comprising nine acres of indoor garden atriums (complete with waterfalls and rivers), over 750 000 sq. ft. of meeting space, multiple restaurants and shops, and the new aquatic attraction SoundWaves.
Conference attendees will be able to choose from 19 dining locations in the resort, with options ranging from quick-service casual to fine dining, featuring American, Italian, and Japanese cuisine. Highlights include the only Jack Daniel’s restaurant in the world, where guests can sample whiskey along with American Southern food, and Old Hickory Steakhouse, an upscale signature restaurant.
The venue also offers a variety of entertainment for attendees to enjoy and unwind between conference events. For a quick break, guests can board a “Delta Riverboat Tour” to cruise the indoor river that flows through the Gaylord Opryland’s Delta Atrium. For a longer retreat, attendees can visit the award-winning Relâche Spa on property or play a round of golf at the Gaylord Springs Golf Links. An exciting new experience offered at the Resort is SoundWaves, an upscale indoor/outdoor water attraction that features pools and water slides that can be enjoyed year-round.
The Gaylord Opryland also offers easy access to Nashville, known as “Music City” for its rich history and large number of live music venues. Nearby the resort is the Grand Ole Opry, a venue famous for country music. By traveling further into downtown Nashville, attendees can also experience live music at the famous Ryman Auditorium, the neon-lit “honky-tonks” on Broadway, and a wide variety of venues showcasing nearly every musical genre.
