Former ASNT President Roger Engelbart is a featured panelist at the Next Generation NDT: Working with Aerospace Composites roundtable scheduled for 18 February 2021. Hosted by Aerospace Testing International, the roundtable will cover the latest technology for the use of NDT with aerospace composites including guidance and advice on the use of new technology in testing workflows.

Engelbart recently retired from Boeing Research & Technology, St. Louis, where he was an associate technical fellow in NDE, focusing on the development of inspection methods for aircraft advanced materials and structures.

“This roundtable will give participants a brief, focused look at new inspection technologies and material developments that can significantly impact the NDT of composites in the aerospace industry,” said Engelbart.

Other panelists at the roundtable include Dave Seto, business development manager for UTEX Scientific Instruments, representing NDT Management Association, and Robert A. Smith, Ph.D., professor of NDT and high value manufacturing at the University of Bristol, representing the British Institute of NDT.

The panel will use real-world examples and case studies to explain how NDT professionals can expand their knowledge and provide those new to the profession with an introduction to the field.

Discussion will be focused on advancing NDT for the benefit of the testing community, sharing problems and solutions, technical knowledge, and best management practices for attendees
