Have a press release that you’d like to submit for publication? ASNT covers a variety of press release types that are listed below. Submit your press release to press@asnt.org for consideration and review. ASNT’s editorial team will pull press releases where they see fit and for the appropriate channel (Materials Evaluation, ASNT Pulse, etc.)
Please note that for any submission that is used, ASNT retains the right to edit to conform to house style. Publication or an accompanying publication date cannot be guaranteed for this free service. If you have a press release but aren’t certain which category it falls under, the editorial team will determine what is appropriate.
Editorial Categories for Press Release Submissions
Industry News
“Industry News” features information on the activities of businesses and organizations in the NDT field. Examples include NDT- or NDE-related announcements of both noncommercial and commercial nature, mergers and acquisitions, name changes, organizational restructuring, and more. Accompanying high-resolution photos with captions are encouraged, but not required.
People Watch
“People Watch” includes notices of ASNT members’ promotions, retirements, honors, and other milestones, as well as notifications of member deaths. Significant personnel changes or notices involving nonmembers who are industry leaders will also be considered. Examples include information on ASNT members who have been recently promoted or hired by a new company, who have been involved in significant recent activity in the NDT field, or who have recently been the recipient of a non-ASNT award honoring their work.
New Media
“New Media” publishes brief descriptions of new publications on NDT and closely related disciplines as well as the information necessary for obtaining more information on the work. Examples include books, reports, videos, apps, and more. An accompanying high-resolution photo is required and text should not exceed 150 words.
Products
An accompanying high-resolution photo is required for all product submissions. Text should not exceed 100 words.
- “New Products” includes information on newly released equipment, instruments, software, and other products designed for use in NDT work. Services will not be considered.
- “Showcase” includes information on equipment, instruments, software, and other products designed for use in a particular area or method of NDT work. To view the showcase themes for upcoming publication, refer to ASNT’s media kit at asntmediaplanner.com.
- NDTMarketplace, published twice a year (May and December), highlights instrumentation, equipment, software, and supplies used in NDT. Each submission can highlight only one product, and must include company name, location, website, and the best email address for readers to contact with questions about the product.
Photos
Show us how you’re creating a safer world by submitting high-quality NDT photos. Photos can be of NDT professionals (including technicians in the field), NDT test images, NDT equipment, and similar. By submitting to press@asnt.org you are granting ASNT permission to use your submitted image. Images may be used to help ASNT to communicate the application and importance of NDT. Photos may be chosen for the “Snapshots” section of Materials Evaluation or for marketing use.
