What is Peer Review Week?

Peer Review Week is an annual global event that brings together academics, researchers, and journal publishing professionals to discuss and celebrate peer review’s role in disseminating research. Each year, Peer Review Week is anchored around one theme, typically borne of current dialogues around the peer review process. This year’s theme is “Research Integrity: Creating and Supporting Trust in Research.”

“Peer review has been one of the bulwarks of scholarly publishing because of its role in helping uphold research quality. Peer review involves an underlying assumption of trust from every stakeholder,” said Jayashree Rajagopalan, co-chair of the 2022 PRW steering committee. “By focusing on integrity in peer review, PRW 2022 is an unmissable opportunity for the global scholarly community to talk about how peer review helps not only maintain but also strengthen the integrity of critical scientific research.”

Peer Reviewers Earn Recertification Points

Becoming a peer reviewer is an excellent way to contribute to the NDT profession while at the same time earning points toward the renewal of your ASNT certification.

Current ACCP Level II, ACCP Professional Level III, and ASNT NDT Level III certification holders can earn recertification credits for their publications activities as listed below. Participants are responsible for documenting their activity.
