ASNT is pleased to announce the signing of memorandums of understanding (MOUs) to establish global cooperative relationships with a number of NDT professional societies, as listed below. These MOUs formalize and strengthen the existing relationships between ASNT and its sister societies to promote the science and technology of NDT.
ASNT Executive Director Neal Couture said, “We are thrilled to have signed MOUs and consider this a great honor to be linked to these prestigious organizations. ASNT is proud to continue building these relationships and by doing this we maintain our commitment to advancing ASNT’s mission and keeping the world a safer place.” Couture continued, “ASNT enjoys a long history of partnering with like-minded associations and strategic partners who share our values and goals of enhancing the NDT community.”
“The MOU is the result of the long-term special relationship that the British Institute of NDT has with ASNT,” said British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing CEO David Gilbert, “and we look forward to the prospect of further developing our partnership in the future.”
John Gayler, senior vice president of welding and technology at the American Welding Society, said, “We value the opportunity to work with ASNT on numerous areas of mutual interest. AWS and ASNT have a history of close collaboration, and this MOU strengthens the existing levels of cooperation in the areas of events, publications, training, and common association topics being advanced by both organizations.”

About ASNT
With more than 14,000 members worldwide, the American Society for Nondestructive Testing, Inc., based in Columbus, Ohio, is the largest technical society for NDT professionals. ASNT certification and standards programs, publications, conferences, education, membership, and professional development programs are the foundation for expanding awareness of advancements in NDT. Governed by a volunteer group of officers and directors, ASNT is organized by councils representing interests relating to certification, engineering, research, education, and section operations.
Our basic MOU’s include trades like complimentary memberships for two officials from each society, conferences including complimentary registration and booths, publication sharing, promoting each society’s events, and overall collaboration such as articles in each organization’s publications and other department sharing of information.
