Membership Dues Increase Explained

Did you know that ASNT has maintained the same dues and membership structure for nearly two decades? During that time, ASNT has greatly expanded programs, services, and offerings for NDT professionals around the world.

Though the ASNT Board of Directors approved a dues increase in January 2020, the implementation was delayed twice because of the global pandemic.

Effective 1 January 2021, ASNT is moving forward with the dues increase for the individual membership categories. Take advantage of 2020 prices—join or renew by 31 December 2020!

In conjunction with the decision to raise dues, ASNT has restructured both our individual and group memberships.

New Individual ASNT Membership Structure

ASNT’s new membership structure follows a career life-cycle approach, with membership categories for each stage of an NDT professional’s career.

Student

This membership level is available to full-time students enrolled in a degree program and it is good for one year. It includes digital-only subscriptions to Materials Evaluation and The NDT Technician. Proof of enrollment is required.

New NDT Professional

New NDT Professionals are early in their careers and have up to 5 years in the NDT industry. This membership includes digital-only subscriptions to Materials Evaluation and The NDT Technician.

NDT Professional

Available to individuals working in any capacity in the NDT industry. Join or renew for multiple years and save more.

Active Military

Available to individuals who are active military service members.

Retired

To qualify for this membership, professionals will have paid full membership dues for at least 15 years, are at least 60 years old, are retired, and are not receiving remuneration of any kind for NDT activity qualify for this membership.

Lifetime

Available to individuals whose combined membership tenure and age are equal to or greater than 65 years.

This structure provides the framework that allows ASNT to continue to deliver value to members based on where they are in their careers.

New ASNT Group Membership

Implementation and launch of the new ASNT Group Membership^*, which replaces the former Corporate Partner Membership, began in June. Group Membership offers organizations quantity-bundled NDT Professional Memberships at tiered discount pricing. By choosing the appropriate Group Membership tier, an organization—regardless of size—can receive discounted pricing and make any number of their employees ASNT members. This saves money for organizations and provides employees with discounts on all ASNT products, as well as access to a powerful NDT network and valuable programs.
